ETracking — time & screen tracking, done with respect.

A task timer paired with a lightweight desktop agent for Windows, Mac and Linux. ETracking records presence and captures periodic screenshots only while a task timer is active — opt-in, transparent, and visible to admins only. No keyloggers. No always-on surveillance.

A timer, an agent, and nothing you didn't ask for.

1 · Start a task timer

Pick a task and hit start. Tracking is scoped to that task — the agent only does anything while the timer runs.

2 · Presence & captures

A heartbeat tracks active presence to the second. The agent captures periodic screenshots on a set interval while the timer is live.

3 · Admin-only insight

Time, presence and captures roll up into timesheets and an activity timeline — visible to admins only, never to peers.

Built opt-in, not opt-out.

ETracking exists to make remote and hybrid work legible, not to watch people. Every design decision favours the employee's clarity and consent over silent collection.

  • Opt-in. The agent is off by default. Tracking starts only after it is explicitly enabled.
  • Timer-gated capture. Screenshots happen only while a task timer is running. Stop the timer and capture stops instantly.
  • Full self-visibility. Employees can always review exactly what their own agent has recorded.
  • Admin-only access. Captures and time data are visible to workspace admins only — never to other members.
  • No keylogging. ETracking never records keystrokes, clipboard contents, or background activity.

One agent. Windows, Mac & Linux.

A small native desktop agent handles presence heartbeats and periodic screenshots, then syncs securely to your workspace. It runs quietly, shows its tracking state at all times, and degrades gracefully offline — queuing data until the connection returns.

  • Native builds for Windows, macOS and Linux.
  • Always-visible tracking indicator while a timer runs.
  • Offline-tolerant: captures queue and sync on reconnect.
  • Low footprint — designed to stay out of the way.

ETracking, answered.

Does ETracking take screenshots all the time?

No. Screenshots are captured only while a task timer is actively running. Stop or pause the timer and the agent captures nothing.

Who can see screenshots and time data?

Visibility is admin-only. Peers cannot see each other's captures or presence. Every employee can always review their own recorded data.

Is it opt-in?

Yes. ETracking is opt-in and off by default. The agent is transparent about exactly what it captures.

Which operating systems are supported?

The desktop agent ships native for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Does it log keystrokes?

No. ETracking does not log keystrokes, clipboard, or background activity — only presence, active task time, and timer-gated screenshots.

Is ETracking included on the Free plan?

Yes — ETracking is included on both Free and Pro.
